FARMERSBURG, Ind. (WTWO/WAWV) — With light snow hitting portions of the Wabash Valley on Tuesday, the potential for a significant storm moving into the area has increased, WTWO Chief Meteorologist Jesse Walker says.

A warm surge following Tuesday’s snow flurries could lead to a significant storm system that may enter the Wabash Valley toward the end of this week or this weekend, Walker said. One example of these snow flurries can be seen in the video above as a picture submitted by Stacey Jarrel of Linton, Ind. shows light snow sticking to the grass.

Walker said these flurries have already moved south of our viewing area as of Tuesday night, but that this departure could lead to some other interesting weather events. Watch above for the full report from Jesse Walker.
