Temperatures were beautiful Wednesday and yesterday for mid January. Today we will still be a few degrees above normal. However, as we head into the weekend temps will fall again but more to around a normal level by Sunday and into early next week. Saturday will just be fairly cold. But, still much better than the highs in the teens last week. Temps next week will fluctuate a lot next week.
The next chance for precipitation comes once we head into the weekend. This still is not looking major at all for us and some places might not even pick any snow up. Much higher snow totals and chances are west on Friday then will be south of and then east of our area Saturday, Sunday, and Monday. This system will pack the punch in some areas, just not here because of the way the system is moving. We could pick up a little bit though on Saturday and if we do, this will cause some slick spots. Only roughly about 0.5-1.5″ can be expected so very little amounts possible.
Winds will be between 5-10mph Friday and then they will pick up overnight to between 10-20mph with gusts a bit stronger. Winds stay gusty on Saturday too.
Temperatures Friday will be in the upper 30s. Overnight Friday, temps will be in the mid to upper 20s.
