VINCENNES, Ind. (WTWO/WAWV) — Vincennes Mayor Joe Yochum Thursday announced the implementation of a COVID-19 assistance outreach program in an effort to “encourage health social distancing strategies.”
Anyone who is unable to leave their home due to age, disability or high risk factors, or anyone who becomes infected, may enroll in the program on the city’s website or by calling (812) 882-7285.
Once enrolled, a city representative will make daily contact to check in and inquire about any needs for assistance. Should a need for food or supplies arise, residents will be put into contact with volunteers who can assist.
This program is available now in response to the COVID-19 pandemic and national state of emergency, and will continue for as long as necessary.
