Sullivan County confirms first coronavirus case

SULLIVAN, Ind. (WTWO/WAWV) — The first case of coronavirus in Sullivan County, Indiana has been confirmed, according to the Sullivan County Health Department.

“This is an ongoing investigation and as more information becomes available, it will be provided to the community,” the health department said. “The Sullivan County Health Department is working closely with local and state officials to ensure that contacts of this patient are identified and monitored, and that all infection control protocols are being followed.”

Citizens are asked to monitor for symptoms of COVID-19 which include cough, shortness of breath and fever.
