Illinois health officials report 16 total coronavirus deaths, 1,535 confirmed cases

SPRINGFIELD – Coronavirus has claimed the lives of four more Illinoisans according to the state Department of Public Health, raising the state’s death toll to 16.

The latest reports released Tuesday showed 250 new cases of coronavirus in Illinois for a total of 1,535 cases in 32 counties. The age of those infected ranges from younger than one to 99 years.

Grundy County is the latest county to report a case. Cases by county can be found on the IDPH website, as well as a list of local health departments who will have the most up-to-date information.

A total of 11,485 coronavirus tests have been administered in the state.
