CHICAGO — Illinois Gov. JB Pritzker Tuesday said he will extend the state’s stay-at-home order through April 30.
The governor made the announcement during his daily COVID-19 news conference, saying he would sign an executive order Wednesday. The order will include closure of Illinois schools through the end of April.
“We need to maintain our course and keep working to flatten the curve,” Pritzker said.
The state’s coronavirus cases rose by nearly 1,000 Tuesday, with 26 additional deaths reported.
