INDIANAPOLIS — The Indiana State Department of Health on Tuesday announced that 884 additional Hoosiers have been diagnosed with COVID-19 bringing the state total to 75,862.
The Vigo County Health Department is now reporting a total of 716 cases and 11 deaths. Seventeen of the Vigo County cases are not yet reflected in the state total.
Other area counties reporting new cases include: Vermillion (3), Sullivan (4), Martin (3), Knox (2), Greene (3) and Daviess (4).
A total of 2,863 Hoosiers are confirmed to have died from COVID-19, an increase of 25 over the previous day.
Another 206 probable deaths have been reported based on clinical diagnoses in patients for whom no positive test is on record. Deaths are reported based on when data are received by ISDH and occurred over multiple days.
As of Tuesday, nearly 37 percent of ICU beds and nearly 82 percent of ventilators are available across the state.
To date, 861,655 tests for unique individuals have been reported to ISDH, up from 852,111 Monday.
