INDIANAPOLIS — The Indiana State Department of Health on Thursday announced that 1,046 additional Hoosiers have been diagnosed with COVID-19, bringing the state total to 77,565.
A total of 2,898 Hoosiers are confirmed to have died from COVID-19, an increase of 20 over the previous day. One new death was reported in Vigo County for a total of 13 deaths since the start of the pandemic.
Another 207 probable deaths have been reported based on clinical diagnoses in patients for whom no positive test is on record. Deaths are reported based on when data are received by ISDH and occurred over multiple days.
As of Thursday, 33 percent of ICU beds and 80 percent of ventilators are available across the state.
To date, 877,970 tests for unique individuals have been reported to ISDH, up from 866,994 on Wednesday.
