BRAZIL, Ind. (WTWO/WAWV) — Clay Community Schools announced the start of school will be delayed until Monday.
CCS Superintendent Jeffery Fritz sent out a message to families, citing a “dramatic increase in the positivity rate in Clay County” as the reason for the delay.
“I very much regret having to make this decision, as we were ready to start school tomorrow,” Fritz said in the message, “However, we have to err on the side of safety.”
Fritz also said that district would be working closely with local health officials to determine the platform that schools would use when classes actually begin next week.
