TERRE HAUTE, Ind. (WTWO/WAWV) – A local woman is sentenced to several years behind bars after pleading guilty in a gas station robbery.
According to court documents, Tasha Burchett pleaded guilty last week to robbery, a level five felony, in reference to a robbery that occurred at the Speedway Gas Station on Wabash Avenue back in January.
As part of the plea deal, Burchett’s additional charges of possession of meth and unlawful possession of a syringe were dropped.
The judge sentenced her to five years in prison. She will receive credit for 145 days served.
