Indiana Gov. Eric Holcomb announced Stage 4.5 of the Back on Track Indiana plan will be extended for at least another 2 weeks.
INDIANAPOLIS — Indiana Gov. Eric Holcomb and State Health Commissioner Dr. Kristina Box will provide an update at 2:30 p.m. Wednesday on the coronavirus pandemic and its impact on the state.
Earlier this month, Holcomb pressed paused on moving into Stage 5 of reopening. Opting, instead, to create a Stage 4.5 for at least two weeks. This decision was made due to an uptick in the state’s coronavirus cases.
The new stage, which allowed for most outdoor activities to resume with precautions in place, is scheduled to end Friday.
The Indiana State Department of Health on Wednesday reported 700 new cases of the coronavirus and 10 additional deaths throughout the state.
