TERRE HAUTE, Ind. (WTWO/WAWV) – The Vigo County History Center plans to host a Juneteenth production.
Last year, the federal government made Juneteenth a federal holiday to commemorate the end of slavery in the United States.
The History Center will host a historical production that will be written by Dr. Crystal Reynolds. This production will feature many Vigo County African Americans.
Guided tours through African American exhibits will also be available.
The event will take place on June 19th from 2 p.m. to 4 p.m.
