TERRE HAUTE, Ind. — According to a separation agreement between Vigo County School Corporation and Chief Financial Office Bruce Perry, Perry’s departure was a “mutual decision.”

“The VCSC thanks Bruce for his service to the school corporation,” Superintendent Dr. Rob Haworth said in a prepared statement. “While we disagreed on how to move the school corporation forward, we wish Bruce the best on his future opportunities.”

Perry was placed on leave Jan. 10 and will continue to receive compensation until June 30. The agreement also states the school corporation will not fight any unemployment claims made by Perry.

“I felt that we did some good while I served as CFO. Often, there comes a time when professionals disagree,” Perry said in a written statement. “I thank VCSC for my time here and I wish all of my VCSC colleagues, educators, students, and parents the very best.”
