DUBOIS COUNTY, Ind. (WTWO/WAWV) – Indiana State Police reported Friday that one person was killed and another seriously injured in a two-vehicle accident on Jasper-Dubois Road in Dubois County.

The crash happened around 11 a.m. about 3.5 miles north of SR 164. Police said a vehicle driven by Corbyn Musick, 17, of Dubois was traveling northeast on the roadway when it collided with a car driven by Landon Mattingly, 18, also of Dubois.

For an unknown reason, the car driven by Mattingly crossed the center of the roadway entering the other lane. Police said the two vehicles collided head-on.

Mattingly was transported to Jasper Memorial Hospital by ambulance, where he was later pronounced deceased.

Musick was transported by ambulance to Jasper Memorial, and then to St. Vincent in Evansville via helicopter. He remains in critical condition and is currently undergoing surgery.
