TERRE HAUTE, Ind. (WTWO/WAWV)- The Sugar Grove Parent Teacher organization hosted a Jonah Fish Fry fundraiser at Memorial Methodist Church Saturday.
It was drive thru style.
The group is looking to improve their playground at the school because the one currently caters more to the younger children.
PTO members said they are pleased with how the community showed up to support.
“It is just it’s been an amazing turnout from the community. It’s been just wonderful to have community partners like Memorial Methodist”, said Djnaedi Carwell, Sugar Grove PTO.
The group’s goal was to serve a thousand meals and they say they have reached way beyond that.
