ROBINSON, Ill. (WTWO/WAWV) — A Robinson man is facing charges after he allegedly stabbed a dog 13 times causing its death.
Jesse J. Anians was arrested last week and charged with aggravated cruelty to animals in what authorities called an intentional stabbing, according to the court documents.
Sentencing options for the Class 4 felony charge range from probation to up to 3 years in the Illinois Department of Corrections, according to the Crawford County State’s Attorney’s office.
Anians is currently being held at the Crawford County Jail. He is scheduled to appear in court March 12 for a preliminary hearing.
