BRAZIL, Ind. (WTWO/WAWV) — No criminal charges will be filed in a domestic disturbance case that ended in fatality, according to Clay County prosecutor Emily Clarke.

Authorities said the person acted in self-defense during a February domestic disturbance in Brazil that ended in the fatal shooting of 31-year-old Robert P. Blystone.

“This is a very unfortunate case where someone died; however the State cannot meet its burden to proceed with a murder charge,” Clarke said.
