Mitchell, IN man charged in Terre Haute rape case, pleads not guilty

TERRE HAUTE, Ind. (WTWO/WAWV) — A man from Mitchell, Indiana was charged with two counts of rape stemming from a November incident on the Rose-Hulman campus.

Terry Wayne Slone III, of Mitchell, Ind., pleaded not guilty in court Tuesday after being arrested the day before.

The woman said she was visiting him at the Sigma Nu Fraternity House when the incident occurred.

Slone is currently being held at the Vigo County Jail on $35,000 cash only bond. A bond hearing has been scheduled for Thursday.

Slone denied having any sexual contact with the woman; however, DNA evidence identified him as a suspect, according to court documents.
