Memorial School in Paris dismisses due to no electricity

PARIS, Ill. (WTWO/WAWV) — Memorial Elementary School in Paris, Illinois lost electricity Tuesday morning due to a blown transformer.

According to the school, all students were transported to the Creative Center located at 300 South Eads Ave. to keep warm until parents could arrive.

The school said services would be provided to those parents who did not have childcare lined up.
