CORRECTION: The original headline misidentified the Knox County 4-H Fair as a virtual event.
KNOX COUNTY, Ind. — One of the oldest county fairs in the state won’t be opening this year.
After reviewing the requirements from the CDC, state and local health departments and the Emergency Management Agency, the Knox County Fair Board voted not to host a 2020 fair.
Instead, the board said it will work to support the Knox County 4-H Council on its decision to host a modified 4-H fair.
“We are coordinating with Knox County 4-H and Knox County officials to provide our 4-H members a chance to show or display their projects at the Knox County Fairgrounds,” the board said in a statement.
