Illinois health officials report 1,151 new coronavirus cases, 59 additional deaths

SPRINGFIELD – The Illinois Department of Public Health Monday announced 1,151 new cases of coronavirus disease in the state, including 59 additional deaths.

Cass and White counties are now reporting cases. 

Currently, IDPH is reporting a total of 31,508 cases, including 1,349 deaths, in 95 counties in Illinois. The age of cases ranges from younger than one to older than 100 years.

Edgar County remained the only area county without a confirmed case of coronavirus as of Monday. The latest report from the Edgar County Health Department shows a total of 62 tests have been administered with 60 coming back negative and two still pending.

Other local totals were:

  • Clark County – 4 current
  • Crawford – 4 recoveries
  • Jasper – 17 current, 2 deaths, 1 recovery
  • Lawrence – 2 current
  • Richland – 2 current
