UPDATE: Gov. Eric Holcomb said the state isn’t quite ready to enter Phase 5 of reopening. Instead, beginning July 4, Indiana will enter what he called Stage 4.5 for two weeks.
He said most outdoor activities will get the “green light” to move forward in Stage 4.5; however, he will put a temporary pause on increasing capacity in restaurant dining rooms, bars and entertainment venues.
According to the latest executive order signed by Holcomb, in Stage 4.5, all fairs, festivals, parades and other public amusement will be allowed to resume. Any indoor activities will be limited to 50% capacity. Social distancing will be required.
Youth overnight camps will also be allowed to resume with restrictions in place.
Stage 4.5 will run from July 4 to 17.
Holcomb noted he will continue to provide updates each Wednesday.
