Shed destroyed in early morning fire south of Marshall, IL

MARSHALL, Ill. (WTWO/WAWV) — A shed and its contents were destroyed in an early morning fire south of Marshall Thursday.

The Marshall Fire department, with the assistance of the West Union fire department, responded to a machine shed fire two miles south of Route 1 on 1350th Rd.

According to Marshall Fire Chief Paul Hoggatt, several items including a truck, electrical equipment and tractors were stored in the shed. The fire is currently under investigation. Hoggatt noted that an investigation is common procedure following a large monetary loss.
