COVID-19 in Indiana: Sullivan County reports 9th death

INDIANAPOLIS — The Indiana Department of Health Wednesday announced that 871 additional Hoosiers have been diagnosed with COVID-19, bringing the state total to 95,750.

Sullivan County reported its ninth virus death Wednesday as the state death toll increased by 13 to 3,106.

Another 219 probable deaths have been reported based on clinical diagnoses in patients for whom no positive test is on record. Deaths are reported based on when data are received by the state and occurred over multiple days.

The Vigo County School Corporation Wednesday updated its COVID-19 dashboard, showing seven students and five staff members with campus contact have tested positive in the past 14 days. There are currently 151 students and 30 staff members quarantined.

To date, 1,092,596 tests for unique individuals have been reported to the state, up from 1,083,765 on Tuesday.

According to the latest data from the Regenstrief Institute, approximately 79.5% of COVID-positive Hoosiers have recovered from the virus.
