Top News

INDIANAPOLIS — The Indiana Department of Health Tuesday reported 394 additional cases of COVID-19, bringing the state total to 100,780.

A total of 3,156 Hoosiers are confirmed to have died from COVID-19, an increase of 12 from the previous day.

Another 224 probable deaths have been reported based on clinical diagnoses in patients for whom no positive test is on record. Deaths are reported based on when data are received by the state and occurred over multiple days.

According to the latest data from the Regenstrief Institute, approximately 81.3% of Hoosiers who tested positive for the coronavirus have recovered. The estimated number is determined by calculating the number of COVID-positive individuals who have not been hospitalized in the past 21 day plus those who were discharged and have had at least seven days to recover, and substracting the total number of COVID-19 deaths reported to the state.

To date, 1,150,863 tests for unique individuals have been reported to the state, up from 1,146,572 on Monday.
