COVID-19 in Indiana: Additional deaths reported in Knox, Vigo counties

INDIANAPOLIS — The Indiana Department of Health Monday reported 3,978 new cases of COVID-19, bringing the state total to 468,219.

A total of 7,101 Hoosiers are confirmed to have died from COVID-19, an increase of 31 from the previous day. Vigo and Knox counties each reported one additional death Monday.

Another 337 probable deaths have been reported based on clinical diagnoses in patients for whom no positive test is on record. Deaths are reported based on when data are received by the state and occurred over multiple days.           

To date, 2,533,672 unique individuals have been tested in Indiana, up from 2,523,679 on Sunday. A total of 5,288,642 tests, including repeat tests for unique individuals, have been reported to the state Department of Health since Feb. 26.
