BLOOMFIELD, Ind. (WTWO/WAWV) – Four people were injured following a two-vehicle accident Tuesday afternoon in Greene County.

Authorities with the Greene Co. Sheriff’s Dept. said an SUV was traveling east on SR 54 near N Harv-Wright Road.

The driver allegedly handed a drink to her child in the backseat and struck another SUV traveling in the opposite direction.

The driver of the SUV that struck the other vehicle was identified as Cristian Elmore, 35 of Solsberry. She and the juvenile in the vehicle were both brought to IU Health in Bloomington for back injuries.

The driver of the SUV that was struck was identified as Sheila Dougherty, 53 of Linton. She and her passenger were flown to Deaconess Hospital in Evansville. There’s no word yet on the status of their injuries.
