KNOX COUNTY, Ind. (WTWO/WAWV) — Three people were injured early Sunday morning in a drunk driving crash in Knox County.
According to the Knox County Sheriff’s Department, Jacob Kinnaman of Sullivan, Ind. was traveling north on State Road 67 near Piper Road when he crossed the center line, striking a vehicle driven by John Rink of Washington, Ind.
Kinnaman, Rink and a passenger in Rink’s vehicle, Rose Rink, were all injured during the crash and transported to Good Samaritan Hospital. Kinnaman and John Rink were both later transferred to Deaconess Hospital in Evansville, Ind. due to the severity of their injuries.
A chemical test concluded Kinnaman had a blood alcohol content of 0.23% at the time of the crash. Authorities said he will be charged with operating a vehicle while intoxicated causing serious bodily injury.
