Mother, child flown to hospital for injuries following 3-vehicle crash near Jasonville

JASONVILLE, Ind. (WTWO/WAWV) – A woman and her 4-year-old child were flown to a hospital for their injuries following a 3-vehicle accident on N. State Road 59. The crash occurred Wednesday afternoon near Jasonville just north of County Road 700 West.

The Greene County Sheriff’s Office reports Jason Ortega was traveling north on N. State Road 59 in a pickup truck when he traveled left of the center line and sideswiped another pickup truck driven by Billy Williams.

Williams was traveling south with a passenger on the same road pulling a New Holland square baler.

Police say the pickup driven by Ortega then struck a Dodge SUV head on that was driven by Patricia McAdams. McAdams and her 4-year-old child were brought to Greene County General Hospital before being flown to another hospital.

Billy Williams and his passenger were treated on scene.

Departments assisting included Jasonville Police Department, Wright Township Fire Department, Linton Fire Department, Greene County Ambulance Service, Air Evac 17 and IU Health Lifeline.
