2 arrested following crash involving Terre Haute city vehicle

TERRE HAUTE, Ind. — A driver and passenger were arrested Thursday after their vehicle crashed into a city code enforcement truck

According to authorities, the city employee was southbound on Erie Canal near Voorhees when the truck was rear-ended by a vehicle driven by Joshua Thompson.

Thompson was charged with criminal recklessness, possession of marijuana and operating a vehicle while intoxicated. The passenger, Anthony Mitchell, was arrested for possession of marijuana and dealing marijuana.

The city employee was transported to a nearby hospital for treatment of non life-threatening injuries.
