VINCENNES, Ind. (WTWO/WAWV) – The Vincennes University Trailblazers will have to wait until January to begin their basketball season. The change includes moving men’s basketball to the start of next year while most fall sports like football starting in the spring. Cross Country and half marathon will still compete this fall.
Head coach Todd Franklin says he approves of the decision. “I’m 100 percent supportive of it I think it makes all the sense in the world and for us you know it’s going to cost us a few games you known normally we have 30 regular season games now you’re going to have 22 so that’ll be going on in the first half but you know it gives us a chance,” he said. The season begins on January 22nd with a maximum of 22 games instead of the normal 30.
