Adam Vinatieri is gearing up for his 23rd NFL season. The future Hall of Famer has been one of the most reliable and clutch kickers in league history. He’s also set to make some history for the Colts in 2018. It’s possible that by mid season he could become the NFL’s leader in career points scored and career field goals converted. Despite the individual accomplishments, Vinatieri says he’s focused on helping the team win.
“My only concern is helping my team try to win games and honestly if the season goes like it should all that other stuff will take care of itself you know hepefully we’ll get to those records and all those points and all tha stuff but that’s not a thing that I’m thinking about a whole lot it’s one of those things that eventually it will happen if we stay healthy and kick well,” he said. The Colts open the regular season on September 9th at home against Cincinnati.
