WEST TERRE HAUTE, Ind. (WTWO/WAWV) – The West Vigo Vikings hit the practice field Monday night for their first practice of the new season. The Vikings return 16 starters from a team that went 5-4 in 2020. Head coach Jeff Cobb begins his 17th season as head coach at West Vigo.
Jeff Cobb says, “It’s great to be back after what we went through this last year. We are feeling positive about things. We are cautious. We are going to take some safe guards along the way and make sure our kids are safe. It’s just so good to be back and kind of feeling halfway normal.”
Peyton Clerk says, “Oh I’m pretty anxious. I’m ready to face another team because it’s not always that fun hitting your teammates so I’m pretty ready for the first game of the season.”
