It took a school record 6th overtime and another one possession game, but Indiana State ended a 4-game losing streak on Wednesday over Evansville, 85-84.
The Sycamores and Purple Aces both came in with matching Valley records at 1-9.
ISU was down 12 points with 16:52 left to play and erased the deficit to push the game into overtime.
A last second attempt by the Purple Aces rimmed out and the Trees walked away with a much needed victory.
Brenton Scott led the team with 22 points. Everett Clemons chipped in 14 points and 8 rebounds.
ISU hits the road for a matchup with Northern Iowa on Saturday.
