Terre Haute South saw a 14 point lead disappear at Northview as the Knights pushed the Braves to overtime. But in the end, it’s South that comes out on top with an 87-84 victory.
Linton traveled to South Knox for a sectional title rematch with the Spartans. The Miners topped Sparty, 36-29, en route to a 10th straight win.
Bloomfield and North Daviess had a low-scoring affair as well but it’s the Cardinals who defended their court, defeating the Cougars, 34-30.
Just a few miles from Bloomfield, it was a county showdown in Switz City between White River Valley and Eastern Greene. The visiting Thunderbirds dominated this one, beating the Wolverines, 76-49, behind Caleb Hamilton’s 26 points.
Staying in Greene County, Shakamak clashed at home with Clay City. It was the Lakers who come out with a 56-40 victory. It’s the first Laker win over the Eels since 2012.
One of the oldest rivalries in the state was in action down in Washington as the Hatchets hosted Vincennes Lincoln. The Alices hadn’t lost to Washington since 2011. But the streak ended Thursday as the Hatchets get the win over Lincoln, 55-43. Matthew Stephens pour in 19 for Washington.
