TERRE HAUTE, Ind. (WTWO/WAWV) – Terre Haute North baseball rallied to defeat South 8-5 on Friday evening at South High School. The Braves led 3-1 in the 5th inning behind RBI’s from Jackson McFarland and Max Scamihorn. The Patriots comeback started in the 5th inning, they scored five times in the frame and got big hits from Jayson Cottrell and Will Egger. After the 5th North led 7-3 and held on to win 8-5. Caleb Stultz pitched for South and drove in the final two Braves run in the 6th inning.
Errors were a big part of the game, each team had six on the day. They will play each other again on Friday May 7th at North High School. That game will be played for The Glove. South won the trophy in 2019 and the game was not played last year due to the pandemic.
