CLINTON, Ind. (WTWO/WAWV)

South Vermillion head coach and athletic director Tim Terry kept his word Friday. The skipper told his team that he would get a Mohawk if they won a regional championship last weekend.

Tim Terry says,”Well, it feels good because it was worth it.”

“These kids, I’ve been proud of them all year long. They’ve played hard and they’ve done everything you could ask from a team. I guarantee they will give you everything they’ve got tomorrow.”

Senior Cooper Terry says,”I give it a 9 or 10 honestly. Just the moment itself was pretty neat that he actually did this for us. Shows how close of a team we are. How special we are for him. I think it looks real good on him.”

Senior Bryce McLeish says,”It’s a perfect 10 for sure. I mean it’s the first Mohawk ever and it looks fantastic on him. I think he should wear it more often.”
