TERRE HAUTE, Ind. (WTWO/WAWV) – The Terre Haute South Braves held their first practice of the year on Monday afternoon. Head coach Tim Herrin enters his 9th year as head coach of the Braves. He says one of the team’s strengths will be defense, where senior linebacker Mekhi Moore leads the way. Moore is heading to Harvard for college. He says Mekhi it’s nice to return to camp with less restrictions compared to last year. “I remember back in my freshman and sophomore years how fun and open and interactive it was with all the guys here and last year it wasn’t quite like that we were all separated it didn’t feel like we really got that team chemistry down so hopefully with less restrictions this year it will be better,” Moore said.
The Braves open the season at home on August 20th against Harrison. Week two features a trio to Noblesville followed by a home game in week three against Bloomington North.
