Indiana State got strong performances from many athletes on Saturday at the annual Gibson Invitational. Erin Reese set a new record in the women’s hammer throw with a mark of 63.56 meters (over 208 feet) in winning the event. Cassaundra Roper was 2nd and she also won the shot put. Caitlyn Redmon won the high jump with a mark of 1.66 meters.
For the men Kaleb Budde won the 400 meter hurdles in a time of 54.25. Callan Whitehouse won the pole vault with a mark of 4.90 meters. Nathan Kiger took the high jump title with a leap of 2.03 meters.
