Sycamores prepare for Northwestern

TERRE HAUTE, Ind. (WTWO/WAWV) – The Indiana State Sycamores will travel to Northwestern for a Saturday showdown with the Wildcats.

The Sycamores have not played a team from the Big Ten since 2016 at Minnesota and this weekend is a true test for this defense.

Curt Mallory says, “I think we are a really good defense and this will be the biggest challenge that we’ve faced so they’ve been practicing hard and the biggest thing is to get better from week 1 to week 2.

Michael Thomas says, “The keys to getting turnovers is always the same. It’s really just doing your job and they will give them to you. Flying to the ball. When guys fly to the ball, one guy is getting the tackle and the next guy is able to get a hand on the ball – get a punch on the ball.”

Inoke Moala says, “We are very excited to have some good competition. We always have good competition in our conference, but it’s always good to have a good game go up there and compete with those guys.”

Kickoff is set for 12pm.
