Sycamores Give Lead Away, Purdue Capitalizes

Sports

Indiana State saw a 5 run lead disappear against in-state foe, Purdue, as the Sycamores lose, 10-7.

Terre Haute North grad Tony Rosselli had 5 RBIs for the Sycamores in the loss.

Rosselli hit a 3-run homer in the bottom of the fifth to stretch the ISU lead to 7-2.

Wild pitches and timely hitting saw the lead evaporate as the Boilermakers still a win at Bob Warn Field.

Clay City graduate Hunter Wolfe took the mound for Purdue, his first career start.

The former Purple Eel pitched 3.1 innings, fanning 4 strikeouts while allowing 6 runs on 7 hits.

Wolfe has appeared in 6 games during his freshman season.
