The Jets are signing veteran quarterback Trevor Siemian pending a physical, ESPN’s Adam Schefter reports.

Siemian entered the league in 2015 and started 24 total games for the Broncos in ’16 and ’17, throwing for 30 touchdowns and 24 interceptions with Denver. Since then, Siemian has bounced around the league as a backup, including a stint with the Jets in ’19 and time with the Vikings, Bears, Titans and Saints. He most recently spent preseason with the Bengals.

New York needs another quarterback after Aaron Rodgers tore his Achilles in Week 1, as the team has lost two straight games. While coach Robert Saleh stood by Zach Wilson as the starter, Siemian adds more of a veteran presence than current backup Tim Boyle.
