TERRE HAUTE, Ind. (WTWO/WAWV) – The Terre Haute South Braves win the Golden Spike with a 3-1 victory over Terre Haute North in high school volleyball.
South improves to 18-2 on the season.
Senior Courtney Jones says, “It’s so nice. My last year I wanted to win so bad. We are at home so it was great to get it back.”
Sopohomore Lilly Merk says, “I think we had a really good match. Really nerve wracking playing North no matter when, but I think we came out strong and finished strong so I’m glad we took the win away.”
Libbi Fougerousse says, “This is a very special season I think. We have a lot of great girls. Six seniors on the team this year so beating North on our home court that’s just really, really sweet. It’s the icing on the cake.”
