GREENWOOD, Ind. (WTWO/WAWV) – The Terre Haute South Tennis squad saw their season come to an end on Saturday with a 4-1 loss to Zionsville in the semi state semifinal round of the state tournament. Freshman Sarah Rowe picked up the lone win at 1 singles for the Braves. She advances to the state finals.

“I just want to first congratulate her she played really well she’s a really tough opponent and I’m really happy that I get to move on to state. There in the beginning I was more nervous than in the end so I think I got through that pretty well,” Rowe said.

Added head coach Janet Rowe: “It was a great day beautiful weather for tennis I’m proud of my girls we knew it was going to be a tough match coming in here Zionsville has been ranked all year and we just came ready to play each point and that’s what they did and we did get one match out of it and I’m super proud of them for that but all of them battled every point and played to the end,” she said.
