TERRE HAUTE, Ind (WTWO/WAWV) – Indiana State quarterback Ryan Boyle will miss the remainder of the season after tearing the ACL in his left knee on Saturday. He was injured on a run during a drive in the first quarter. The Urbandale, Iowa native is the second-leading rusher for the Sycamores with 171 yards on 44 carries while throwing for 508 yards and a pair of touchdowns over four games.
Redshirt sophomore Kurtis Wilderman stepped in for Boyle in the victory over Eastern Illinois. He threw for 186 yards and a touchdown to Rontrez Morgan. ISU has a bye this week and will be back in action at South Dakota on October 5th.
