In the newly named Dorsett Automotive Crosstown Classic, the Rose-Hulman Fightin’ Engineers jumped out to an early lead and never lost it.
Rose-Hulman defeated St. Mary-of-the-Woods College, 85-58.
Rose’s Ally Bromenschenkel led all scorers with 23 points. As a team, the Engineers had a school record 73 rebounds.
SMWC’s Callan Taylor had 10 points for the Pomeroys.
The Pomeroys lead the all-time series, 14-10, though Rose has won the last 5 meetings.
Rose moves to 2-1 while the Pomeroys are now 2-4.
