Rose-Hulman football ready for playoffs

TERRE HAUTE, Ind. (WTWO/WAWV) — The Rose-Hulman Football team is back in the Division III playoffs and will travel to DePauw for a noon matchup on Saturday.

Both teams enter the game with 8-2 records, it’s the Engineers first trip back to the playoffs since 2016. Rose also collected some awards from the HCAC on Thursday.

Noah Thomas was named Offensive Player of the Year, and Michael Stevens was named HCAC Defensive Player of the Year. Jailen Hobbs earned Special Teams Player of the Year honors, and Jeff Sokol was named Coach of the Year for the third time in his Rose-Hulman career.
