North wins first sectional since 2015

PLAINFIELD, Ind. (WTWO/WAWV) – The Terre Haute North Patriots win their first sectional since 2015, 4-2 over Brownsburg Monday night.

The Patriots will play in regionals Saturday.

Cade Moore says, “Absolutely amazing. Won our first game since 2015 in sectionals and just keep steam rolling.”

Jayson Cottrell says, “Feels good. I trusted my teammates, we played a heck of a game, all hit the ball and I just trusted them when I was pitching.”

Seth Tetidrick says, “Feels great. Haven’t been able to get the job done the last few years, but we came out strong, worked well as a team, had a lot of confidence, were loud and that’s what helps you win ballgames.”

Caden Mason says,”You know I’ve never won a sectional at North and it’s just a crazy feel. It’s awesome you know.”

Scott Lawson says, “Glad to see a lot of smiles on their faces. Both games we got out to a lead which was huge for us. We carried that momentum throughout. Guys feed off of each other obviously so proud of the effort early on to do the little things right, get runs on the board and we pitched really well.”
