TERRE HAUTE, Ind. (WTWO/WAWV) -Terre Haute North’s Cami Burk pitched a complete shutout as the Patriots defeated the Braves 3-0 on Thursday evening. Burk worked out of trouble in the early innings and the Patriots scored three runs in the 6th inning to cap the victory.
Burk says she was happy with her performance. “You know nerves had a really big play in it. I was really nervous. First game like this, it’s a big game, but my team really had my back, but they kept me up every inning and every pitch and we had it together,” she said.
Added head coach Chris Mundy: “You know North-South game I’m excited because it’s such a rivalry. To have Cami pitch the game she pitched, I mean what can you say? Amazing performance I’m just proud of the whole team,” he said.
