Miners get another shot at Raiders

LINTON, Ind. (WTWO/WAWV) – The Linton Miners will host the Southridge Raiders Friday night to begin the high school football season. The Miners have lost five straight to the Raiders, including four season openers in a row. Head coach Brian Oliver is happy his team opens up the season at home and is hoping the crowd will give his squad a boost.

Brian Oliver says, “I’m just glad to be able to be playing at home early and have full capacity here. I’m hoping to be able to see the Roy packed like it has been in sectional and regional games and just having that atmosphere because the boys really missed out on that last year.”
